Garage Off - Grid Solar & Battery Storage Installation in Maidstone, Kent

Challenge

Coutts Electricals was appointed to design and install an off-grid solar PV system for a garage store room in Maidstone, Kent, for Mr Young. The client advised that it was not financially viable to have a cable pulled in from the street and requested an off-grid system with 10kWh of battery capacity and a backup standby generator. A specific requirement was that the system must never lose power for security reasons. The main challenge was the complexity of designing a system that could meet this requirement.
