and the border.

The list reads as an even ladder, but the thirteen towns are not evenly spread. Eleven of them sit inside nine miles of Biggin Hill, bunched tightly together. Only Tonbridge at 13.3 miles and Maidstone at 21.4 stand clear of that cluster.

The shape is also lopsided. The northern edge stops at Sydenham, 8.8 miles out; the Kent side runs on to Maidstone.

Postcodes tell the same story. Seven of the thirteen are BR, three are TN, and Croydon, Sydenham and Maidstone bring one each of CR, SE and ME. The office postcode is TN16, the same area as Westerham, the nearest town on the list.

Out at the edge of the map, the useful question is not the mileage but the shape of the work. A fault call is one arrival, a diagnosis and a repair. A roof install is a survey, then access equipment, then the install days, then commissioning, each a separate arrival at the same address.

Most of what makes a distant job straightforward is set by the building rather than the map. Where the board sits, how the roof is reached, whether there is ground for scaffold, whether the loft is boarded, and whether the power can be off for part of a working day.

None of that is decided from a postcode, which is why the survey comes first.

Start with the listed town nearest you and read its page rather than this one. The distance, the postcode area and the work cited there give you a closer read on your own address than a straight yes or no on coverage would.

It helps to know which side of the office you are on. A TN or ME postcode puts you on the Kent side, where the map already reaches out past Tonbridge.

Either way, the first call goes further when the basics are to hand. Rough scope, property type and access matter more than the exact mileage, and one photo answers questions a description cannot.
